A few of you have asked me for some ideas on how to save money on maternity clothes.  My first suggestion is hitting up second-hand and consignment shops.  You wear maternity clothes for a few months, so don't spend a fortune on them!  I invested in a great pair of jeans and a few pairs of dress pants for work (at the end NOTHING besides a giant muu muu dress fit anyway).

Target Obsession: Clearance Finds

I found two boxes of Gerber cereal for $2.84!!

Cover Girl lipstick was only $2.47.  Use $1 off coupon (PG 1/16/11) to make it only $1.47! 

I ended up using a $3 off Neutrogena coupon from January's issue of All You on a $3.76 lip gloss = $.76!  I also used the Target $1 off an up&up cleaning product on bleach, which made it $.47; however, it is going to cost a lot more to fix the bleach that leaked out of the bottle, ate through the plastic bag and ended up all over my car.  :(  At least I didn't pay full price for it, right?

Do you have a handful of $.50 off a Pampers wipe from your Pampers diapers?  I do, but the Amazon deals always seem to be better than using the coupon in the store.  However, Kroger currently is offering Pampers wipes for $1.85 right now.  Use one of those $.50 off and if your Kroger doubles coupons, then they are only $0.85!

$6 Cans of Formula at Target!

Target is having a sale on infant formula right now!  You can get a can of Enfamil, Similac, or Gerber Good Start for $12!  Many of you get the rebate checks in the mail.  I use the Similac $5 off, so the can would be $6!  If you have the $5 off from March's All You, then you can get the Gerber for $6 as well!

You can combine the rebate checks and manufactures' coupons, so you could potentially get a can for free if you have a high value coupon and rebate check available!

On my trip to Target to get my Free Jeans, I found lots of great deals!  I found toddler's pants on sale for $2.45!  They are a light weight material (great for my hot and sweaty boy) with the stretchy band waist and the legs roll up and have little buttons to keep them in place when rolled up!  I also found some pretty cool looking shoes for my hubby for only $12.24!

In some areas Target is offering a $5 gift card if you purchase 7 frozen items.  ANY items!  You can get some great deals when combining with Target and manufacturers' coupons.  I got the following deal (not the cheapest, but the things we like the most).

3 Tyson chicken bags- each on sale for $6 and I had 3 $1 off coupons and one Target $1 off coupon = $14

Babys R Us Disappoints AGAIN!

So I went in for the Toys R Us promo today.  Though the "fine print" is online, it was pretty unclear to unless you read and re-read it.  The first toy must be OVER $25, okay fine.  The second toy must be less than $24.99.  I can't be on sale.  I can't be on clearance.  It excludes tons of FP toys.  You can't use a coupon.  So basically, I couldn't find ANYTHING to make this deal worth while at my local store.  This isn't my first issue with Babies R Us and I won't say this is the last straw....but it's close.  I hope you all had better luck!

E-Couponing for the Lazy :)

You may have heard, if you haven't noticed, that grocery prices are up.  It's no surprise really, in the perfect storm of a bad economy, it was bound to happen!  I think that between high unemployment and less pay, that couponing has become more popular lately, but with an increase in grocery prices maybe even those most opposed to clipping will turn to e-coupons, such as Cellfire and Kroger Digital Coupons to save money. 

If you are unfamiliar with Cellfire or Kroger Digital Coupons, they are websites that allow you to "upload" coupons to your grocery savings cards.  I shop frequently at Kroger, but you can check with your grocer and see if they have a similar website.  Cellfire, however, caters to customers at several different grocery chains.  I really like checking these sites before heading to the store because you can often find savings on the items that are already on your list and you don't have to clip a thing (just click!) or remember to give anything to the cashier, except your grocery savings card (like a Kroger Plus Card).

UPDATE:  Today is a great day to sign up for Cellfire.  They are offering extra "coupons" toward anything at your grocer.  I happened to get a high value coupon of $2!!!  Ya Cellfire!
