UPDATE:  My husband and I tried to go back to TGI Fridays and use our $20 gift cards on two more entrees from the new menu to get another $20 gift card.  It doesn't work!  The gift cards are actually "value cards," similar to coupons, and they have the fine print on the back (which I never glanced at - oops!).  You can't use them with other coupons and only one per check. 

Although it's not the amazing freebie I thought it was going to be, it still was pretty dang good! 

We both ate lunch for $9 (and because the nice server split our bill, we got another $10 value card).

Okay, so my husband had to help me with this one.  I was so caught up on the Buy one Get one FREE coupon, that I couldn't quite grasp this concept until we tried it. 

TGI Friday's is having a great promotion right now.  If you order from their new menu until September this year, you get a $10 gift card.  We got $20 in gift cards for purchasing TWO items from the menu. 

My husband got the new cheeseburger that was around $9 and I got the Japanese Hibachi Steak Skewers (yum - I can also confirm that the flat iron steak is amazing!) for around $11.  We also got FREE chips and salsa for being members of the Stripes program (plus we get more freebies, coupons, and earn free meals).  Our bill was around $21 with tax and we got $20 in gift cards!  Unbelievable!

For $1 and the tip (please generously tip like the server is your grandaughter, don't give couponers a bad name!), we got a GREAT meal!  Next time we are going to order from the same menu, use our gift cards to buy dinner, then get $20 in gift cards again!

So, with the initial investment of $21, we are going to eat all summer at TGI Friday's for (basically) free!

Keep checking the Target Coupons!  I printed two $1 off Circo children's clothing items.  I had the intention of getting two pairs of socks with the coupons, because I knew they were going to be free.  I ended up checking the clearance section and found these pants for $1.22 and the top for $1.50!  So, I got this outfit for $.72!  Not too bad!  The $1 Circo doesn't appear to be available any longer, but I did receive another one in the form of a Catalina (the coupons that print with your receipt) when I purchased these! 

If you didn't print a Circo coupon, you may want to go ahead and print the $2 off of a dress while it is available.  I scored a "little black dress" for $7.50 on clearance, so only $5.50 with the coupon!

I cannot tell you how much money Consumer Reports has saved my family.  We recently decided that our little boy needed a new car seat, as his feet were hanging at least an inch out of his Chico Keyfit car seat.  I wanted to get two new car seats for each of our cars, but the car seats I was looking at were in the $200 range.  I logged into our Consumer Reports online account and was surprised to see that the Cosco Scenera was top rated!  In fact, it was in the top three and the only one under $100!  You can get them at Meijer's, K-Mart, or Wal-Mart.  Right now at Wal-Mart they are $39.99 and you can get free shipping to the store or shipped to your home for an additional cost, if you prefer.  I know that they have a really cute pink print material, if you have a little girl. 
At that low price, we were able to get one for each car.  I love not having to unfasten the whole seat every time we want to take a different car!

Frugal Day on the Town: Lemonade, Undies, Jeans, 30 Boxes of Pasta, Berries, Three Books, Two DVDs, and a CD for under $5!!!

Yesterday the temperature was 70 here!  I couldn't believe it!  I had to get outside, but it was too windy for my 6 month old to just take a stroll around the neighborhood, so we improvised. 

Stop 1:

Chik-fil-A for a medium lemonade!  This was my big splurge of the day.  It was just under $2, but well worth it. :)

Stop 2:

Local library. I ended up checking out three books, two DVDs, and a CD all for FREE!

Stop 3:

Victoria's Secret for my free undie.  I received a card in the mail for a free undie (which many of you probably get if you have a VS credit card).  FYI -  I think these underwear are made for 5 year old girls.  They are that tiny!

Stop 4:

Target.  I scored $1.23 jeans.  Not "distressed" or skinny jeans, but dark dark wash "dressy" jeans!  I used a mobile coupon that I signed up for HERE.

Stop 5:

Kroger.  I got 30 boxes of Ronzoni Pasta for FREE!  They are $.50 if you buy 10.  Use the coupons HERE to get $1.00 off two.  You can print the coupons twice per computer.  I also used THIS $.50 off of a Driscoll's berry that was doubled for $1.00 off!  Yay!  Maybe Kroger isn't a place you would think of going on a nice day out; however, when I get a years worth of pasta for free, I consider it a good time! :)

Military Wives (and Husbands): Become an Accredited Financial Counselor for FREE (Limited Fellowship)

If you married someone in the military, then you know that it often times means moving, moving, then moving again.  It's hard enough to pack up and leave and find a new job, but in this economy it is sometimes impossible.  If you have a job that needs state certification, then you are in big trouble! 

The Association of Financial Counseling and Planning Education is offering a fellowship that would provide military spouses with the resources to become an Accredited Financial Counselor.  With that certification, you can find a job in any state, working for a variety of businesses!  Like any fellowship, there are details and fine print so read up, but if you were looking for a way to gain some sort of stability in an ever changing lifestyle, then this may be for you!

ThredUP $20 for your first box and Pro Membership

Eversave is offering PRO membership and one box at thredUP for $20.  This isn't the BEST deal I've seen at Thred UP, but it does give you Pro Membership, which allows you to get the best boxes first. 

I bought a thredUP box about three weeks ago for my 6 month old and was pleasantly surprised.  The way it works is that you go on thredUP and pick a box based on gender, age, and season.  Each member is rated on the boxes they have sent in, a lot like on Ebay, so you can go for the members with high ratings to ensure a great box of clothes.  Then you pay $5 for the box and the cost of shipping.  I got a London Fog snow suit, two shirts, boots, and pants in the box.  The lady that sent it REALLY stuffed it full for me, so that was nice! 

As you can see, unless you want the PRO membership, this may not be the deal for you; however, when I was searching for a box, they were very limited, so it probably would have helped to get to the boxes before everyone else.
